  • WOAH

Yeah, I know. I really slacked on my end of the bargain of keeping up with my blog and actually being Vegetarian. The truth is, I snuck meat on January 13, 2009, and ate a little bit each day since. Now my stomach is royally screwed up. I'm not sure if it is the meat, the quality of the meat, or everything else piled on top of that. Whatever the case may be, I failed my test. Oh, well. Hopefully I'll try this again soon!

    okay, then.

I've decided giving up blogging would be ridiculous, since it has nothing to do with monetary issues or whatever. Okay, that crazy part is over with (for now).

I've been doing well on my Veggie diet. This past week (I am a little over a week in now!) I've had veggie pizza, two veggie burgers, two veggie subs from Charlie's (which are kind of negated since I totally ate fries with it), a vegetable wrap from Applebees (again with the fries, but I shared those), applesauce, veggie sausages, and I have been eating eggs and dairy products.

I feel like I'm starting to lose weight, and my stomach is not as upset as it used to be. I definitely don't have as much indigestion, and when I'm full, I'm full! I don't really crave anything else. If I do, I'll have almonds or some of the V8 Acai Mixed Berry juice (which has no added sugars OR artificial sweeteners! hurray!).

I got tired last night, but thats because I worked a 10 hour day when I had planned to work 7.5. Kimber and I went to the St. Paul Cafe on our lunch break, and I got a (chicken removed) TX Caesar salad and--gasp--chicken tortilla soup. I painfully ate around all of the clumps of chicken, which there actually wasn't much in there to begin with. It was mostly cheese and tortilla strips. Yum.

Today I had a fairly large breakfast, considering I don't eat in the morning, like, ever. It consisted of two veggie sausage links (which are ok..they could use more spices), two eggs, two slices of toast (wheat), and applesauce. Woo! I feel pretty good.

I work tonight at King Tut, so we'll see how my snacks go. I'm only working 5 hours so I might not have a break. If that's the case, I will eat a late lunch :)

  • PAUSE

Due to unfortunate circumstances right now, I'm not going to be blogging for a week or two until I sort some things out. I'm having an academic crisis (again) and am not sure how to handle it or what really is going on.

All I ask for is your prayers of support so I don't go crazy mental or anything.

    Thanks.

    fourth day

I don't really remember what I ate Friday, unless I already logged it. Sorry. I know what I had yesterday, though (Saturday, Jan. 3)

    Breakfast
    water

    Lunch
veggie pizza (with broccoli on it?) from Carmine's on Harwood and Ross<3

    Dinner
Boca burger with six carrot sticks

    Snack?
V8 Fusion juice (this stuff is a life saver, I know, I know its still juice, though)

I also had a bag of chips and three Dr. Peppers...my car got a flat tire yesterday, so after my manager fixed it (Thanks again, Mike!) I drove to a gas station on Mckinney Ave. to call my mom and tell her its fine and I was coming home. Umm, I called her and could hear HER, but she couldn't hear me. So I was frustrated and got a bag of chips and a can of DP to make it from the drive from McKinney to Lemmon to Midway. Blehhh.

Today will be different. I have church, a memorial service, then work a couple of hours later. I'm so exhausted; the bottom of my feet hurt and have markings from where I've been standing so much. Or is that a sign of pre-diabetes?

    Happy New Year!

Wow, I cannot believe that time has flown by so fast! Wednesday, my mom and I went shopping and I told her my plans for becoming veg this month. She was fine with it, neither excited or shocked. My dad is kind of excited, telling me all the recipes and stuff I should look for. Its kind of fun.

I bought a package of flame-grilled Boca burgers (hopefully they won't give me indigestion), Morningstar sausages, and Morningstar "crumbles". The reason I bought the crumbles is because my mom is making cabbage rolls and I didn't want her to just make them stuffed with rice and tomatoes. That would be too hard for it to stick together. She's going to make a few with my crumbles. We'll see how that goes...

Last night was Hannah's NYE party, which I did indulge in some homemade queso because its going to be my last time for THAT for awhile. After midnight, though, no more snackage for me.

Today I did okay, but I wasn't sure about breakfast. My tummy was kind of upset, so I did have eggs with my potatoes and toast. No bacon or sausage, even though I could've had that Morningstar stuff. I just was not very hungry. I'm never hungry in the mornings, though...ugh.

So, about three hours in to my experiment I'm okay. I'm really headachey but thats just 'cause I didn't sleep very long. Am I the only one that can't really sleep past 10 AM?

Have a great first day of 2009 :)
